July gypsum imports via Vizag Port drop 53.08% m-o-m

August 28: Gypsum imports through the port of Vizag dropped 53.08% to 53,556 tons in July 2014 against a volume of 114,162 tons reported in June, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In July, 28,466 tons arrived from Iran in a range of Rs 1,425 – Rs 1,672 ($24-28) per ton, 25,017 tons came in from Oman in a range of Rs 1,526 – Rs 9,455 ($25-156) per ton while the balance 73 tons arrived from the UAE at a unit price of Rs 9,198 ($152).

In June, the entire quantum arrived from Oman in a price range of Rs 1,407 – Rs 12,431 ($24-208) per ton.
