July met coke imports via Gangavaram fall 60.38% m-o-m

August 14: Imports of met coke via Gangavaram Port stood at 13,018 tons in July 2014, down sharply by 60.38% from 32,860 tons imported during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In July 2013, met coke imports via the port stood at nil.

During July 2014, 2,978 tons came in from Italy at a price range of Rs 13,794-Rs 14,309 ($227-$236) per ton while the rest of 10,040 tons came in from Russia at a price range of Rs 15,571-Rs 16,156 ($257-$269) per ton.

On the other hand, in June 2014, 17,360 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 12,831-Rs 13,055 ($214-$218) per ton, 5,000 tons from Italy at a price of Rs 13,737 ($227) per ton while the balance 10,500 tons came from Russia at a price range of Rs 16,094-Rs 16,156 ($268-$270) per ton.
