July spot allotment via other platform up 17% m-o-m

The total offering of coal through the spot e-auction conducted by Coal India (CIL) subsidiaries during June 2016 on the MSTC platform stood at 5.84 million tons (mt), up 16.57% month-on-month compared to 5.01 mt offered in June 2016, as per data available with ICMW.
Of the offered quantity through spot e-auction in July 2016, 2.47 mt was allotted, up 2.07% month-on-month from 2.42 mt in June 2016.
An analysis of the auction revealed that like the previous month, G14 and G15 grades were not offered in July 2016.
Moreover, quantity-wise, G12 grade was offered in the highest volume (1.58 mt) and allocation-wise G13 (0.74 mt) was the topmost. Percentage-wise, G11 was the highest quantity allotted (85%) apart from the ungraded coals (100%).
