KIOCL floats NITs for anthracite, coke fines

November 11: KIOCL Ltd has floated separate notices, inviting tenders (NIT) to procure 8,000 tons (+/- 10%) of anthracite coal and 4,000 tons (+/- 10%) of coke fines for its pellet plant at Mangalore.

The specifications laid down for anthracite coal are thus: Fixed carbon 75% (min), ash 19%, volatile matter 5%, sulphur 0.85% (max), moisture (as received basis) 10% (max).

For coke fines, the specifications are: Fixed carbon 73% (min), ash 20%, volatile matter 6%, sulphur 0.7%, moisture (as received basis) 8% (max).

The delivery schedule for coke fines is minimum 200 tons/day commencing within 10 days from the date of purchase order or as regulated depending on consumption on weekly basis and storage limitations.

The last date for submission of bids is November 24, 2014.
