KPCL floats NIT to buy 1 mt imported steam coal

January 2: Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has floated a notice inviting tender (NIT) to procure 1 million ton of imported steam coal for the company’s Raichur thermal power station in Karnataka, according to information available with ICMW.

Tenders are invited from reputed mine owners and/or traders of imported coal who would be required to import and supply this inventory over a period of one year to the Raichur thermal power station, located at Shaktinagar in the Raichur district of Karnataka.

Interested parties can submit their bids till January 12, 2015 up to 5 pm while the technical bids will open on January 16, 2015 up to 11 am.
