KPCL’s coal imports decrease 32.61% in FY15 y-o-y

April 10: The import of steam coal by Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), during 2014-15 stood at 969,000 tons while the same stood higher at 1,438,000 tons during 2013-14, indicating a fall of 32.61%, according to provisional data of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) available with ICMW.
In March 2015, imports stood at 22,000 tons, down 78% from 100,000 tons imported in February 2015.
In March 2014, KPCL’s coal imports stood at 213,000 ton.
