KPMG submits corporate plan for CIL

February 13: Leading advisor and consultant KPMG has submitted its recommendations on corporate planning of Coal India Ltd (CIL), a source told ICMW.
KPMG was appointed by the company sometime back to chalk out a corporate and HR plan for the company.
When contacted, CIL Chairman S Narsing Rao neither confirmed nor denied receipt of KPMG's report, but said that "these are routine affairs to improve our performance".
"All these are aimed at finally getting better numbers. How does it affect the society? Whether we are producing more coal or not is something that matters," he told ICMW when asked whether KPMG's report was discussed by the company's board.
