Kandla Port Feb coal handling down 19% m-o-m

Handling of coal (imports of coking and non-coking) by Kandla Port stood at 1,256,868 tons in February 2016, down 18.71% from 1,546,370 tons handled in January 2016 this year, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
The handling of coal by the port in February 2015 stood at 658,823 tons, which shows that handling in February this year was sharply up 90.79% on a y-o-y basis.
The handling of coal by the port during first 11 months of 2015-16 (April- February) stood at 13,844,028 tons, showing a sharp rise of 52.59% from 9,072,503 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.
