The imports of met coke through Kandla Port stood at 10,948 tons in March 2016, more than double compared to 3,000 tons in January 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the full fiscal of 2015-16, met coke imports through the port amounted to 69,326 tons. However, volumes were nil in the previous fiscal.

Following are details of met coke imports through Kandla Port in February 2016:
In March 2016, the entire consignment came from China at a price range of Rs 8,547-Rs 8,762 ($127-$129).
