Kandla coking coal imports up 14% in Dec m-o-m

January 9: Coking coal imports through the port of Kandla stood at 38,000 tons in December 2014, up almost 14.45% from 33,202 tons reported in November 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of coking coal through the port during December 2013 stood at 52,970 tons.

During December 2014, the entire quantity came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,377-Rs 9,073 ($118-$145) per ton whereas in November 2014, the entire quantity came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,146-Rs 9,029 ($115-$144) per ton.
