Kandla pet coke imports surge in Dec m-o-m

January 9: Imports of pet coke via Kandla Port rose almost 2.4 times to 106,670 tons during December 2014 while in the previous month, imports of the material through the port stood at 44,000 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In December 2014, 61,567 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 5,551-Rs 6,512 ($87-$102) per ton whereas the balance 45,103 tons came from the United States at a price range of Rs 5,631-Rs 6,819 ($90-$107) per ton.

However, during November 2014, 4,000 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 5,994 ($97) per ton while the balance 40,000 tons came from the US at Rs 5,855 ($94) per ton.
