Kandla’s Dec pet coke imports drop 7% m-o-m

February 2: Imports of pet coke through Kandla Port decreased 7% month-on-month to 215,999 tons in December 2015 against 200,350 tons in November, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In November 2014, imports of pet coke were recorded at 44,000 tons through the port.
Imports of pet coke through the port during the first nine months (April-December) of 2015 stood at 1,512,404 tons against 365,167 tons recorded during the same period last year.
Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Kandla Port in 2015-16 and 2014-15:

In December 2015, around 162,499 tons of pet coke came in from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 2,809 - Rs 4,609 ($42-$69) per ton and 53,500 tons from the United States in a band of Rs 3,803 - Rs 5,746 ($61-$75) per ton.
In November 2015, around 184,850 tons of pet coke came in from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 2,982 - Rs 4,572 ($45-$69) and 15,500 tons from the United States in a band of Rs 4,080 - Rs 4,966 ($61-$75) per ton.
