December 15: Coking coal imports through the port of Kandla decreased 30.32% to 22,836 tons in November 2015 against 32,774 tons recorded in the preceding month of October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of coking coal through the port during November 2014 stood at 33,202 tons.
Imports of the material through the port during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015 stood at 221,608 tons, down 26.41% from 301,172 tons imported during the same period last year.

In November 2015, the entire volume came from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,550 – Rs 7,343 ($84-$110) per ton.
In October 2015, the entire volume arrived from Australia too but in a range of Rs 5,621 – Rs 8,314 ($85-$127) per ton.
