December 02: Imports of pet coke through Kandla Port increased 20.19% to 197,111 tons in October 2015 against 163,990 tons in September, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In October 2014, imports of pet coke were recorded at 52,861 tons through the port.
Imports of pet coke through the port during the first seven months (April-October) of 2015 stood at 1,096,055 tons while imports of the material were recorded at 2,636 tons during the same period last year.

In October 2015, a volume of 175,005 tons came from Saudi Arabia at the price range of Rs 3,605 –Rs 4,713 ($55-$71) per ton and remaining 22,106 tons came from United States at a price range of Rs 4806- Rs 5769 ($74-$88)per ton.
In September 2015, a volume of 59,197 tons came from Canada at a unit price of Rs 4,632 ($69) per ton, around 38,100 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 3,986-Rs 4,945 ($60-$74) per ton, while the balance 66,693 tons came from United States at a price range of Rs 4,741-Rs 5,253 ($72-$78) per ton.
