Karan Adani becomes new CEO of Adani Ports & SEZ

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that Karan Adani is going to take charge as the CEO of the company from January 1, 2016.

The present CEO and Whole-Time Director of the company, Sudipta Bhattacharya, is moving to the United States to take over a group position as CEO, North America.

Karan Adani is the eldest son of Gautam Adani, the Founder Chairman of the Adani Group. The new CEO is an economics graduate from Purdue University, US, and has been with the group’s port business since 2009.
