Karnataka to share project costs with Railways

September 6: Karnataka is going to share the cost with the Ministry of Railways for as many as 13 pending railway projects said Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy, Minister of State for Railways.

Most of these projects are related to construction of new lines. Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand would also go for cost sharing in 7 and 6 projects respectively, informed the minister.

"There are more or less 368 ongoing projects of Railways that are on and 10 state governments have shown interest in sharing the costs," the minister said.
