Kolkata’s Mar met coke imports drop 58% m-o-m

April 27: Met coke imports through the port of Kolkata spiralled down 58.48% to 28,531 tons in March 2015 against 68,709 tons in February 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Met coke imports in March 2014 were at 51,108 tons.
Imports of the material for fiscal 2014-15 were thus at 541,475 tons against 510,327
tons recorded in the previous fiscal.

In March 2015, a volume of 4,759 tons arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 12,500 ($199), 11,172 tons came in from China in a price range of Rs 11,607 – Rs 12,333 ($184-196) per ton while the balance 12,600 tons came in from Russia at a unit price of Rs 13,637 – Rs 13,637 ($217).
In February 2015, however, 19,980 tons arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 12,500 ($199) per ton, 41,229 tons came in from China in a price range of Rs 11,446 – Rs 12,348 ($183-197) per ton while the balance 7,500 tons came in from Russia in a price range of Rs 13,561 – Rs 13,637 ($216-217) per ton.
