Krishnapatnam Dec coking coal imports up 2% m-o-m

Imports of coking coal via Krishnapatnam Port edged up 2.44% to 415,215 tons in December 2015 against a volume of 405,327 tons imported in November 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first nine months (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), coking coal imports through the port stood at 3,439,591 tons while 635,169 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In December, a volume of 20,000 tons came in from Australia at a price of Rs 6,553 ($97) per ton, while details of 395,215 tons were not available.
In November, a volume of 107,126 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,576-Rs 6,368 ($83-$97) per ton, 175,680 tons from Canada at Rs 5,621-Rs 6,206 ($85-$94) per ton while details of 122,521 tons were not available.
