Krishnapatnam FY15 imported coal cargo may rise 42%

January 30: Handling of imported coal cargo by Krishnapatnam Port on the eastern coast of India is likely to increase 41.62% to 27.90 million tons (mt) in the current financial year, from 19.70 mt handled in the previous financial year (2013-14), a source in the port told ICMW.
“In the April-January, the port handled 20.80 mt of imported coal cargo and it is expected to handle around 7-8 mt more in the remaining two months,” the source added.
