Imports of petroleum coke via Krishnapatnam Port were down 46.31% month-on-month to 122,635 tons in February 2016 against a volume of 228,392 tons in January 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 1,371,685 tons while imports of the commodity through the port in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15) were at 566,043 tons.

In February, a volume of 10,000 tons came from the US at a price range of Rs 4,290- Rs 4,895 ($62-$72) per ton while details of 122,635 tons were not available.
In January, a volume of 75,302 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 2,784-3,475 ($41-$51) per ton and 1,53,090 tons from the US at a price range of Rs 3,816 -Rs 4,891 ($56-$72) per ton.
