November 11: Imports of coking coal via Krishnapatnam Port were down 2.51% to 412,868 tons in October 2015 against a volume of 423,512 tons imported in September 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For first seven months (April-October) of the current fiscal (2015-16), coking coal imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 2,619,049 tons while 428,992 tons were imported in the same period of the previous fis,cal (2014-15).

In October, a volume of 223,366 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,481-Rs 10,011 ($83-$149) per ton and 189,502 tons from Canada at Rs 5,769-Rs 6,443 ($87-$99) per ton.
In September, however, 3,022,201 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,078-Rs 7,198 ($78-$107) per ton while details of 121,291 tons were not available.
