Krishnapatnam Port resumes handling of Capesize Vessel
22 Jan 2016
After a gap of 50 days, Krishnapatnam Port has again started servicing Capesize vessels from January 21, a sources said.
The handling of cape size vessel had come to a halt after severe rain and floods in November last year that had reduced the draft at the port to 13-14 meters from original draft of 18 meters.
“With the help of in-house dredger, the port had restored the normalcy on January 21 when it received MV Percivial that brought in a cargo of 157,000 tons of South African coal,” the source said.
