Steam coal imports via Krishnapatnam Port in November 2015 was marginally down by 0.06% month-on-month to 1,664,443 tons against 1,665,524 tons in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first nine months (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), steam coal imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 17,063,500 tons while imports of the commodity through the port in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15) were at 38,926,805 tons.

In December 2015, a volume of 44,231 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 3,175-Rs 3,925 ($48-$59) per ton, 10,000 tons from Russia at a price of Rs 4,282 ($64) per ton, 284,262 tons from South Africa at a range of Rs 2,560-Rs 4,225 ($38-$63) per ton while details for the balance 1,325,950 tons were not available.
In November 2015, a volume of 75,251 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 2,442-Rs 4,152 ($37-$64) per ton, 16,150 tons from Russia at a price range of Rs 4,215-Rs 4,269 ($63-$64) per ton, 115,657 tons from South Africa at a range of Rs 2,560-Rs 4,136 ($39-$64) per ton while details for the balance 1,458,466 tons were not available.
