Lafarge shortlists bidders for 11MT cement assets

After Dalmia Cement withdrew its case against Lafarge's India asset sale, the global cement major is moving fast to conclude its cement transaction. Lafarge has shortlisted bidders for the 11-million tonne (MT) cement asset sale, sources privy to developments told CNBC-TV18. Lafarge expects a valuation of Rs 11,000-crore valuation for its 11MT capacity.
On the domestic front, the bidders include JSW Group and CVC; Piramal and Goldman Sachs; and Ramco and Carlyle. Foreign company CRH, besides PE consortium of Blackstone, CPPIB and Baring Asia, has also made it to the shortlist. It is learnt that the bidders will conduct due diligence before submitting their bids by July 2016.
