Limestone handling resumed by Porbandar in November

December 28: It is the first time in the current fiscal that there was handling of 152,971 tons of limestone by Porbander Port in the month of November 2015, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW. Last time the port handled limestone was in March 2015 when 51,920 tons were handled.

Meanwhile during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, limestone handling by this port stood at 152,971 tons, there was no handling of limestone in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly there was no handling of limestone by the port in November 2014.
