January 29: There was little change in the overall sentiment in international coal markets so far as spot prices were concerned, industry sources said.
There were practically no enquiries from China amidst concerns over cutting off the country's imports through a ban on low calorific value coal.
Indian buyers were active for Indonesian cargo where availability ranging from 4,000 GAR to 5,200 GAR for February loading remained a challenge due to high demand and supply constraints amidst monsoons in that country.
Sources said that the number of vessels in queue has risen at Indonesian ports amidst disruption in production, inland logistics and loading issues because of the poor weather.
