September 4: After a mild softness witnessed in Indonesian coal prices during the past two sessions, there was little movement in coal prices in major markets on September 3, industry sources said.
With enquiries from major Asian buyers still on the lower side, there was little scope for movement in prices, they added.
Meanwhile, Marex Spectron, quoted an offer for RB1 coal basis 6,000 Kcal/kg at a discount of $1.30 to API4 for loading of 50,000 tons parcel in November, but there was no bid. The brokerage also bid a discount of $1.85 to API4 for loading of 100,000 material per month in the first quarter of 2014, but there was no offer.
