May 18: A stable trend largely prevailed in international coal markets on May 15 even as high grades of Indonesian coal prices softened on low demand, market sources said.
The weakness in the Indian rupee appears to be prompting a section of Indian companies to avoid imported coal procurement amidst slightly better availability of domestic coal, they said.
