Low demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal (GCV between 6,101 and 6,400 Kcal/kg) grade in March 2016, as out of the entire quantity of 120,910 tons offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Western Coalfield Limited (WCL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) and Central Coalfields (CCL), a volume of 28,760 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,936 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, poor demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal grade in February 2016, as out of the entire quantity of 118,206 tons offered by SECL, North Eastern Coalfield (NEC), ECL and CCL, a volume of 22,435 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,948 per ton.
Low demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal in the month of January 2016, as out of the entire quantity of 256,340 tons offered by SECL, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), ECL and CCL, a volume of 65,536 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,160 per ton.
