Lower demand pulls down coal imports though Kakinada Port

March 18: Lower demand and policy decisions have pulled down coal imports through Kakinada Port, a source from the port told ICMW.
"We have received one shipment of imported coal of almost 50,000 tons so far during the month mainly because of lack of demand," the source said.
He further said, "March, being the last month of the quarter as well as the financial year, we do not expect the number of shipments to grow for the rest of the month," the source said.
