MCL floats EoI for skill development of 3,000 PAPs

: Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) has sought expressions of interest (EoI) from reputed government/private technical institutions for skill development of around 3,000 project affected persons (PAPs) under the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) scheme for Odisha and neighbouring states.

The duration of the training would be two years and may increase depending on the management’s discretion with regard to exceptional cases.

The purpose of training would be to make the newly-inducted PAPs skilled to take up jobs at MCL as mechanical fitters, electricians, machinists, surveyors, computer operators and HEMM operators, among others.

The last date for submission of EoIs is May 2, 2016.
