MMTC extends offer submission date for 1 mt imported coal

January 7: MMTC Ltd, a Government of India enterprise, which had floated a global tender to procure 1 million tons (mt) of imported steam coal for Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project located at Jharli in the Jhajjar district of Haryana, has extended the offer submission date to January 16.
An official from the company said the bid submission date has been extended at the request of traders.
The tender was floated on December 1, 2014 and interested parties were initially directed to submit their offers by December 13, which was later on extended to January 8, 2014 and now to January 16.
MMTC is looking to procure the material with GCV of 5,700 Kcal/Kg, sulphur of 0.90% ash content of 15% ash and total moisture of 25%.
