MMTC floats imported hard coking coal tender

March 18: MMTC Limited has floated an open tender to procure 20,000 tons (+/- 10%) of imported washed hard coking coal for supply to the integrated steel plant of Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) at Kalinganagar in Odisha.

The specifications for the hard coking coal (size: 0-50 mm) to be procured are thus: TM - 10% max, VM – 20-28%, ash – 8.5% max, sulphur – 0.50% max.

The entire cargo needs to be delivered at the NINL plant by April 15, 2015, with 7,000 tons to be delivered by April 5, 2015. MMTC reserves the right to extend the delivery period as per the requirement of NINL.

The last date for submission of bids (both technical and price bids) is March 23, 2015. The bids will be opened on the same date.
