Imports of coking coal via Magdalla Port stood at 113,520 tons in February 2016, up 4.10% compared to 109,050 tons imported in January 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), coking coal imports through the port stood at 914,353 tons while 312,967 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In February 2016, the entire volume of 113,520 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,544 -Rs 5,713 ($81-$83) per ton.
In January 2016, the entire volume of 109,050 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,532 -Rs 5,932 ($82-$88) per ton.
