Magdalla Port’s 2015-16 coal handling up marginal 4%

Handling of coal by Magdalla Port stood at 6,729,385 tons during financial year 2015-16, witnessing an increase of 3.83% compared to 6,481,299 tons handled in 2014-15, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

The port handled 909,013 tons of coal cargo in March 2016, registering an increase of 52.59% over 595,737 tons handled in February 2016.

The handling in March was higher by 18.43% on a month-on-month basis compared to 767,566 tons in March 2015.
