Imports of coking coal via Magdalla Port stood at 109,050 tons in January 2016, up 21.30% compared to 89,900 tons imported in December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For the first 10 months (April- January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), coking coal imports through the port stood at 800,833 tons while 242,952 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In January 2016, the entire volume of 109,050 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,532 -Rs 5,932 ($82-$88) per ton.
In December 2015, the entire volume of 89,900 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,679-Rs 6,103 ($85-$91) per ton.
