Magdalla’s Oct coal handling jumps 112% m-o-m

November 27: Handling of coal (imported coal) by Magdalla Port stood at 423,082 tons in October 2015, showing a sharp spurt of 112.08% against 199,496 tons handled in September 2015, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.

However, during the first seven months (April-October) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 3,223,251 tons, showing a marginal fall of 2.54% from 3,307,269 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, handling of coal by the port in October 2014 stood at 562,263 tons, which shows that handling was down 24.75% y-o-y.
