Major ports told to focus on profit maximisation

February 27: All major ports of India have been asked to prepare a master plan and to study optimisation of operations and maximisation of profits, Pon Radhakrishnan, Minister of State, Ministry of Shipping, said on February 26.

Meanwhile, the government also requested major ports to optimally utilise the lands vested with the ports.
