March PCI imports via Kolkata Port edge up m-o-m

April 27: PCI coal imports through the port of Kolkata edged up 0.14% to 61,006 tons in March 2015 against a volume of 60,916 tons in February, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Imports of the material amounted to 45,289 tons in March 2014 while, for fiscal 2014-15, the volumes stood at 615,010 tons against 397,790 tons recorded in the previous fiscal.

In March 2015, the entire volume arrived from Australia in a band of Rs 5,918 – Rs 6,357 ($94-101) per ton.
In February 2015, 59,266 tons arrived from Australia in a band of Rs 6,255 – Rs 7,666 ($100-122) per ton and 1,650 tons from South Africa at a price of Rs 6,233 ($100) per ton.
