December 17: The spot price of Indonesian-origin coal firmed up a bit on December 16 amidst reports that miners in that country are aiming to sell more coal in the domestic market for better prices, sources said.
South African coal prices remained subdued, but firmness was witnessed in Australian steam coal prices as well though coking coal rates eased a bit after a firm trend towards the end of last week.
