PCI coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 142,233 tons in February 2016, rising 20.44% against 118,090 tons in January 2016, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
For the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), PCI coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 473,299 tons against 257,186 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).
However, there were no imports of PCI coal via the port in February 2015.

In February 2016, the total quantity came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,583-Rs 5,784 ($81-$84) per ton.
In January 2016, the total quantity came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,404-Rs 5,406 ($80-$80) per ton.
