Non-coking coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 396,055 tons in February 2016, showing a decline of 13.21% against 456,335 tons in January 2016, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
For the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), non-coking coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 4,312,251 tons against 2,420,994 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).
However, 263,473 tons of non-coking coal were imported via the port in February 2015.

During February, out of the total imported quantity, 182,066 tons came from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 4,619-Rs 5,802 ($67-$85) per ton, 195,489 tons came from Indonesia at a price range of Rs 2,337-Rs 3,681 ($34-$54) per ton and 18,500 tons from South Africa in a price range of Rs 3,353-Rs 3,848 ($49-$56) per ton.
During January, out of the total imported quantity, 25,500 tons came from Indonesia at a price of Rs 2,997 ($44) per ton and 430,835 tons from South Africa in a price range of Rs 2,473-Rs 4,278 ($37-$64) per ton.
