Imports of coking coal via Marmagoa Port rose 5.47% to 6,163,132 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 5,842,993 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
On the other hand, imports of the material via the port were down 5.16% month-on-month to 421,597 tons in March 2016 against 444,539 tons seen in February 2016.

In February 2016, the entire quantity of 444,539 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,143 -Rs 6,926 ($75-$101) per ton.
