Marmagoa limestone imports down 49% in 2015-16

Imports of limestone via Marmagoa Port were down 49.09% to 55,055 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 108,133 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

Since November 2015 import of 55,055 tons, there have been no imports of the material via the port for four consecutive months.


Following are details of limestone imports in 2015-16 and 2014-15 (in tons) via the port:

During November, the entire material came in from the UAE at a unit price of Rs 802 ($12).
