December 16: Pet coke imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 90,071 tons during the month of November 2015, resulting a huge spurt in volumes over 5,102 tons imported during the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Meanwhile, pet coke imports via this port stood at 394,883 tons during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, resulting in a rise of 45.36% compared to 271,659 tons imported during the same period in 2014-15.
However, there were no imports of the material via the port in November 2014.

In November 2015, out of the entire quantity, 8,259 tons came from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 11,849 ($179) and 81,812 tons came from the US at a price range of Rs 7,472-Rs 8,256 ($113-$126) per ton.
In October 2015, the entire quantity of 5,102 tons came in from the China at a price of Rs 9,815 ($146) per ton.
