November 26: Coking coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 532,605 tons during October 2015, resulting in a rise of 29.77% in comparison to 410,427 tons imported during the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Meanwhile, coking coal imports via this port stood at 3,960,989 tons during the first seven months (April-October) of 2015-16, resulting in a sharp rise of 49.57% in comparison to 2,648,172 tons imported during the same period in 2014-15.
However, 418,224 tons of coking coal were imported via the port in October 2014.

In October 2015, out of the total quantity, 394,460 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,029-Rs 7,705 ($76-$124) per ton and 138,145 tons came in from Mozambique at a price range of Rs 5,910-Rs 6.808 ($90-$103) per ton.
In September 2015, the entire quantity of 410,427 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,672-Rs 8,170 ($85-$122) per ton.
