June 4: G10 grade coal (GCV range 4,301 and 4,600 Kcal/kg) offered through the e-auction platform of coaljunction during May saw very strong demand as the entire offered quantity of 220,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,882 per ton.
On the contrary, in April, moderate demand was witnessed as 144,600 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 197,250 tons at a weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,055/ton.
In March 2014, the offering saw moderate demand as 446,010 tons out of an offered quantity of 615,760 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,100/ton.
