Met coke imports via Gangavaram fall 78.82% in March m-o-m

April 9: Imports of met coke via Gangavaram Port stood at 11,725 tons in March 2014, down 78.82% from 55,365 tons imported during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During the entire financial year of 2013-14, total met coke imports via the port stood at 132,075 tons while the figure was nil during the previous financial year of 2012-13.

In March 2014, 7,000 tons came in from Italy at Rs 14,390 ($233) per ton while the balance 4,725 tons came from Russia at a price of Rs 16,094 ($260) per ton.

However, during February 2014, 40,365 tons came in from China at Rs 10,790 ($173) per ton while 15,000 tons arrived from Italy at Rs 16,768 ($266) per ton.
