Met coke imports via Gangavaram plunged sharply in May m-o-m

June 12: Imports of met coke via Gangavaram Port stood at 1,350 tons in May 2014, down sharply from 17,734 tons imported during the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In May 2013, met coke imports via the port stood at nil.

During May 2014, the entire quantity came from Italy at a unit price of Rs 16,665 ($277) per ton whereas in April 2014, 12,484 tons came from Italy at a price range of Rs 13,737-Rs 16,768 ($227-$277) per ton.
