Met coke imports via Gangavaram sharply up in Jan m-o-m

February 26: Imports of met coke via Gangavaram Port stood at 59,985 tons during January 2014 while during the previous month, import of met coke stood at only 5,000 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In January 2014, 44,000 tons came from China at a price of Rs 11,390 ($183) per ton, 10,000 tons came from Italy at a price of Rs 16,768 ($270) per ton while 5,985 tons came from Russia at a price of Rs 16,211 ($261) per ton.

However, during the month, the entire material came in from Italy at a price of Rs 16,768 ($267) per ton.
